1.2 Information That Stays on Your Device

All processing happens locally on your iPhone:

  • Photo Analysis: AI-powered duplicate detection, similarity analysis, and screenshot recognition all occur entirely on your device.
  • App Preferences: Your settings and preferences are stored locally on your device only.
  • Private Album: Photos stored in the encrypted album remain on your device, protected by encryption.

1.3 Anonymous Usage Statistics (Optional)

With your explicit consent, we may collect minimal, anonymous usage statistics to improve app performance:

  • App crashes and error logs (no personal data included)
  • Feature usage statistics (e.g., which features are most popular)
  • Device type and iOS version (for compatibility testing)

These statistics are completely anonymous and cannot be traced back to you. You can opt out of this collection at any time in the app settings.

2. How We Use Information

2.1 On-Device Processing

All photo and video analysis is performed entirely on your device using:

  • Apple's Core ML framework for AI processing
  • iOS native image processing APIs
  • Local storage for temporary analysis results

Your photos never leave your iPhone during the analysis process.

2.2 App Improvement

If you opt in to anonymous statistics, we use this data solely to:

  • Fix bugs and improve app stability
  • Understand which features are most valuable to users

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device:

  • App Settings: Stored in iOS UserDefaults, accessible only by Phone Cleaner

  • Private Album: Encrypted using iOS Data Protection APIs with device passcode/biometric authentication

3.2 No Cloud Storage

Phone Cleaner does not use any cloud storage services. We do not maintain servers that store user data. Everything stays on your device.

The private encrypted album feature uses:

  • iOS Keychain for secure password storage
  • Device-level security (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode)

4.1 Apple Services

Phone Cleaner integrates with Apple's native frameworks:

  • Photos Framework: To access and analyze your photo library (requires your permission)

  • Calendar Framework: To clean calendar events (requires your permission)

These are Apple's native APIs and follow Apple's strict privacy guidelines.

4.2 No Third-Party Analytics

We do not use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any other tracking tools.

4.3 No Advertising Networks

Phone Cleaner does not display ads and does not integrate with any advertising networks.

5. Permissions We Request

Phone Cleaner requests the following iOS permissions:

  • Photo Library Access: Required to analyze and organize your photos. You control which photos we can access through iOS privacy settings.
  • Calendar Access (Optional): Only if you use the calendar cleaning feature. Required to identify and remove duplicate or expired events.
  • Face ID/Touch ID (Optional): Only if you use the private album feature. Required to protect your encrypted album.

You can revoke these permissions at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

6.1 We Do Not Share Your Data

Since we don't collect your personal data, we have nothing to share. We do not:

You have complete control over your data:

  • Delete App Data: Uninstalling Phone Cleaner removes all app data from your device
  • Revoke Permissions: Change photo or calendar access in iOS Settings at any time
  • Opt Out of Analytics: Disable anonymous statistics in app settings
  • Clear Cache: Use in-app tools to clear temporary analysis data

8.2 No Account Required

Phone Cleaner does not require creating an account, logging in, or providing any personal information to use the app.

Phone Cleaner is designed to comply with privacy laws worldwide, including:

  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in California, USA
